First time using Kubuntu 12.04 I like the environment well and I'm already bumping up to problems.

I don't think X Server itself has anything to do with your audio.Sometimes your DE/WM might do some configuring of your audio on its' own.Which alsa/pulseaudio/OSS are you using?Could be the audio hardware doesn't like the sound architecture you're using.I have audio hardware that went back and forth between alsa and OSS, alsa being the better choice.
Whenever I play sound through WINE on my external DAC, the sound sounds all crackly. Problem does not occur when I play the sound on my built-in audio, but there are reasons why I don't want to use that. My DAC is an American Audio Audio Genie Pro.
Well, as the title says, my subwoofer and central audio are swapped. I tried, as a post said, to mannualy modify the audio channels, In /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/profile-sets/default.conf.
I made a sound test, but subwoofer played center's audio and viceversa.
Please Help! I need somebody!, but not just anybody!
