So I'm new to the crunchbang comunnity, but I'm pleased with what I've seen so far. Anyway, I downloaded the latest waldorf image (20120806) with the intent of making a live usb with persistence. I started off just using lili to image the drive, make live-rw and modify /syslinux/live.cfg; that however that didn't work.
A couple of things that I have noticed.
I have floppy drive inbuilt to the tower.
When running Lubuntu the green light is constantly on (drive empty).
When I connect to the Internet, I see no information that tells me how strong is the signal.
When I use the file manager, I can see the Lubuntu folders, but my folder (MyFile_programmes) is invisable..
Happy New Year.

Ps.
Yesterday I installed lubuntu 12.10 on a USB stick, but it is not persistent. That seems to be a typical error and there is a fix that involves editing the file txt.cfg.
I don't have access to a blank CD, so I'm booting via live USB. The problem is I can't partition that drive when it's running my OS, or I think that's the problem. Is there a way to convert the install on the USB disk to persistent?
If not I could get hold of an empty USB, but if it's possible this would be a lot easier.
Thanks in advance for any responses! :)
I'm new to Lubuntu/LXDE/openbox and I've just installed Lubuntu 12.10. I'm so far unable to find a way to tile windows with the keyboard.
Is there a way to have a keyboard shortcut that will make a window fill the left or right half of the screen (like in unity and Windows 7)?
Alternatively, I'm trying to get XMonad to work with Lubuntu.
I'm trying to update my wireless driver in lubuntu and I'm following some directions blindly because I have no idea what they are doing but after I download and unzip the wireless driver file the next step is to run Make (after switching to the location where all the drivers files unzipped).
I can't seem to create templates in Lubuntu. I have a folder in ~ called Templates, which I directly copied from my previous home folder when I installed Lubuntu 12.10, but when I right click in the file manager, in the create new menu, none of my templates are there!
Lubuntu doesn't use nautilus but PCMan File Manager. According to this website, PCManFM has template functionality.
I've just recently started using Lubuntu.
The first time I installed the 'minimal' system (from 'Minimal CD) and then installed the Lubuntu desktop on top.
Hello ,
I recently installed Lubuntu 13.04 on my Desktop. Earlier I had Lubuntu 11.10. I use chromium browser in it. Earlier print to file would work fine in it , the job would be done in less than 10 seconds.
Since the fresh install , I am not able to print pdfs. When I give the print command , the Chromium browser hangs.
