In the Fedora documentation Chapter 5 discusses Network Configuration - both the Network Administration Tool and the system-config-network command - as being the method to configure network interfaces as well as managing DNS settin
I was interested in setting up a home security network. I installed Motion in Ubuntu 12.04 and it worked fine.
I've installed Arch linux, and planned to used it remote and putty my way in.
But it does not seem to start up the interface at boot. I also want a static ip. Is there a config file like /etc/network/interfaces like on debian i can config, reboot and everything is ok?
I am rebuilding a custom kernel. I am on Windows, what is the quickest way to grab the .config file for the CentOS RHEL linux kernel (for make oldconfig). I can't find it preinstalled in the Linux system (e.g. no /proc/config.gz) I am assuming it is in a source RPM somewhere. Do you have a link?
I am trying to set up my config file for ssh. When I work from home I connect to machine located remotely as follows
Tunneling to the machine via local port
ssh -N -l poppop -L 2223:my_machine:22 my.domain.com &
Then logging to machine using
ssh -p 2223 username@localhost
Please help me setting my config file so that I dont have to tunnel it every time to log in.
Thanks.
I do the phpize..
When I reach the ./configure It tells me it can fins the php-config (configure: error: Cannot find php-config. Please use --with-php-config=PATH)
I assume it means a file named php-config
I do ./configure --with-php-config=/usr/local/src/php5/php-5.3.5/scripts/ --enable-entities
Which points to that file's directory, but still, I get same error.
Hi, I'm looking to replace the chrome bookmark file with an older one I saved before
But I cannot find it on my current installation of kubuntu 12.10.
I looked in "/home/{username}/.config/google-chrome/Default" but cannot find the .config folder.
I also used 'whereis' command but I only find Google shell scripts but no directories.
thanks
