I've tried color calibrating my monitor with the X-Rite I1, which is supported by Gnome Color. I've now attempted it three times on the different settings: Quick, Normal, and Precise. After each one, it created (seemingly) the same profile which muted the colors, and green shifted everything.
I'm not sure if it effects anything, but I am using dual monitors.
Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit using Gnome Classic (No Effects)
I am a little confused about how Gnome Color Manager works. I have color profiles in two different directories: /usr/share/color/icc and ~/.local/share/icc. If I go to Applications>System Tools>System Settings>Color, I get a window showing my two scanners, my printer, and my computer.
Hi
In ubuntu 11.x I could install an icc profile for my monitor using gnome-color-manager. I upgraded to 12.04 and installed 'icc profile installer', and some other stuff shownig up in muon when I search for 'gnome-color-manager'
After installing though, I can't find any references to icc profiles, gnome-color-manager, in the K-menu. Also gcm-prefs is not installled (the binary needed).
The Release Candidate version of GNOME Color Manager 3.8 tool for the GNOME desktop environment made its appearance last evening, March 18, on the GNOME FTP servers.
My current conky config file looks like below and I find it pretty ugly.

Now when I try changing it to the below format
The tab color for gnome-terminal is different (light color) from the system Ambiance theme. What can I modify in /usr/share/themes/Ambiance/gtk-3.0/gtk-widgets.css in order to get a consistent look for the tab color? Thanks.
After using a Pantone Huey to color calibrate my HP 2159m 21" LCD monitor on Fedora 17, the resulting display looks overly redish or pinkish.
Without color calibration, everything looks great, but I'm using the Huey to try to match up what I see on the monitor with what will appear on paper if my photos are printed.
However I really find that this reddish display isn't helping things an
I just saw this as well on the H. What's your color calibration workflow? I was assuming I'd just use Argyll. Working on migrating away from pure OSX for color managed graphics workflow.

I like the color scheme editor for the gnome terminal and all, but I hate not being able to work with color values, whether it be hexidecimal or some other form. How do you find out the color values of your profile's theme and is there a file somewhere where you can edit these?
