http://www.unix.com – Dear all, On Arch linux: /etc/rc.local and /etc/rc.local.shutdown are good places for auto-starting scripts respectively at system startup and shutdown Couple of questions: Where should I add my scripts to be run at shutdown or startup on: 1) RHEL 6? (CentOS, actually) 2) Fedora 17? My aim is to perform a few backups of personal data files before shutdown! Many thanks for your help and keep up the good work! Cheers, (HowTos)
