Earlier this month, Evernote launched version 2.0 of Skitch, the popular screenshot tool the company acquired in 2011. Sadly, Skitch 2.0 didn’t just do away with Skitch’s idiosyncratic but highly functional user interface, but it also dropped a number of features in the process. Version 2.0 currently has a 1.5-star rating in the Mac App Store and almost 600 1-star reviews.
It’s been over a year since Evernote released Skitch in the Google Play Store, and they’ve been hard at working keeping the app up to snuff, despite a few complaints from users. The new update brings a refreshed interface, a few new toys and tools to play with, (Pixelate and Highlighter) and a long overdue feature, Evernote syncing capabilities.
Last week it was revealed that personal data management app Evernote would integrating Skitch – the image-editing app it acquired last year that has now seen 10 million downloads — further into its service, grandfathering Skitch.com in the process.
Evernote has announced the purchase of locally developed Skitch, signalling a nice windfall for the original developer Cris Pearson and a smart extension to the powerful Evernote platform.
Hey,
I've been looking around and I can't find a good list of useful tablet optimized apps.
I'm using a newly issued Gandi.net SSL Certificate and while it works fine most places I get a warning/error in Google Chrome:

I've tested that the chaining is working:

My SSL configuration looks like this:
SSLCertificateFile /etc/ssl/certs/submitten.com.2011.crt
If the title made you think of Evernote, I don’t blame you. It’s a great tool which is capable of a lot, plus it syncs with whatever devices it can run on. However, Evernote is still a proprietary tool, and some Linux users may not wish to use it simply because of this reason.
For those who use Evernote as a to-do list application, the service just became more useful today with the launch of a much-requested feature: reminders.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. The Evernote team does one heck of a job at making our lives simpler. Evernote Food, again, is no different. We initially loved it for its ability to catalog the food aspect of our lives. From recipes we would love to try to restaurants that have caught our attention, Evernote Food is a good way of keeping track of those experiences.
