Any noticed that the IcedTea java plugin is crashing Firefox, whenever a java applet is trying to load? I've replaced it with the Sun JRE one and it seems to work fine. But I prefer to use the default OpenJDK version.
I've got the following java plugin installed:
java-1.6.0-openjdk-plugin-1.6.0.0-29.b16.fc11.i586
after updating to kde 4.3.3 PyQt4 updated to 4.6.2 since that eric is open with
lots of errors and when i try to run apython script inside it the run fail
i reported a bug

any ideas ???????????
Hi all,
I'm having DNS issues with a fresh Fedora 11 install (worked fine in 10). ping works fine, resolves domains with no problems. However, all other programs (firefox, wget, thunderbird, yum, etc.) cannot resolve domains. Forcing the use of OpenDNS servers works fine, but getting the DNS through DHCP does not. This seems to be related to the bugs listed here:
I decided to give gwibber a go as a means to follow Twitter and Facebook status updates. There seems to be an issue though with Gwibber and the Gnome indicator panel in that notifications of new messages never show up. Looking into the issue it appears that Gwibber switched to solely using libappindicator for this which as far as I can tell is an Ubuntu only library.
The "Security Considerations" note at http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FedUp lead me to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=877623 and https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=998 ...
Apparently, the Anaconda installer does not verify the integrity of packages it downloads from mirrors.
Am I understanding that the only secure method of installing Fedora is with the live CDs
Hello :)
I'd like to change keyboard shortcuts in gnome / fedora 12
[counterroot@dev-5c-v0 ~]$ cat /proc/version
Linux version 2.6.31.6-145.fc12.x86_64 (mockbuild@x86-7.fedora.phx.redhat.com) (gcc version 4.4.2 20091027 (Red Hat 4.4.2-7) (GCC) ) #1 SMP Sat Nov 21 15:57:45 EST 2009
at all this never has been a problem @ fedora 7/8/9/10/11
Because of a bug, bug 902049 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=902049 the sound card Tascam US-122L doesn't work with the newer kernels. (The bug is also described here https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53241 and here https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/33499 ) I have compiled many kernels, but with the same result. The last kernel I tried was 3.9-RC2.
Hi, I found the suggested workaround mentioned in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=834494 works:Just add my user into group wheel.Since the fedora guys did something to "fix" this, is there anything we could do too?
