http://askubuntu.com – I have just setup a dual monitor system with a 23 inch LED monitor and a 19 inch LCD monitor. The 23 inch one is connected through HDMI. The 19 inch one is connected to the analogue port of the same GPU (Nvidia Geforce 210). In Ubuntu 12.10, after installing Nvidia drivers, the 23 inch monitor works fine but the 19 inch monitor got a very low resolution. When I set the correct resolution, the desktop goes out of the screen. Also I feel a small lag in animations on the 23 inch monitor. Things work fine under Windows 8.... My questions are... How to fix the resolution in the small monitor Wha (HowTos)

I have 30 inch monitor and have quadro fx 4600 graphic card in my machine. When I connect my computer to the 30 inch monitor after I installed 11.10, It just gives me pink screen in the monitor.I thought that I needed to install nvidia driver.So I installed driver with below code.

I'm using dual monitor on Ubuntu 12.10. Both monitor had same brand and type, the only difference is one using DVI cable and others using RGB. The DVI Monitor resolution are 1280x1024 and the other monitor are 1024x768. How I could change the resolution of my RGB monitor to be the same as DVI monitor.

On a fresh install of 12.10 Secure Remix I have 5 Nvidia drivers to choose from: 310 & 304 experimental, nouveau, nvidia binary current & current-updates.

So I have an Acer x163w widescreen monitor. In monitor setting my Monitor is an unknown. My resolution size is stuck at 1024x768 i believe.

I have tried manually to change the screen resolution and nothing. I am running Ubuntu 12.10 on an Hp Pavillion m7360 Desktop.

Updating the NVidia drivers sends my machine into a storm and things just fall apart until I have to do fresh install.

Hello I have a dual monitor resolution question.

I have a Geforce gt640 video card hooked to two acer p221w monitors using dvi cables. When I go into system settings/displays, one monitor is labelled correctly and the other is labelled unknown . Also, the one labelled correctly has a resolution of 1280X1024 which is fine, but the unknown one has a resolution of 800x600. This is not ok.

I have the gen3 Sandy Bridge processor with an Nvidia card. After I installed the Nvidia driver I got 640x800 resolution on my laptop monitor, but was able to set 1080p on my external monitor.
