I have very slow LAN transfer speeds over WiFi to my Windows 7 shared folders.
Using AndroidSMB client, I get a max of 500KB/s yet on WIFI WAN I get speed tests in the 30Mbit/s range.
I have strange wifi speed with my n4. I use an asus n56 router(a couple of moth old) with a 100/100mbps internet connection.
All my other devices (n7, sgs1 and sgs2 and 2 laptops) work great.
With my n4 the speed over wifi is most often low but sometimes great. Let me try to explain.
I have a otg cable and a Plugable USB 2.0 to 10/100 Network Adapter. I plug into my nexus 10 at home, turn wifi off and i have network connection. I have tried to use at work, but we use static ip address, and I tried connecting my nexus 10 and no network connection. Whenever I am watching YouTube on wifi it is constantly buffering. I often have to switch off "HD" just finish the damn video. When I'm on 4G its fast and no buffering. I have an N router on fios. It isn't just my wifi its any wifi. I'll post my speeds for wifi and 4G I don't see any reason it should perform so badly over wifi. Anyone else have this issue?
I have several devices on my network (PC's (wired), laptops (wifi), iPod (wifi), Wii (wifi)) including a web server (Just a normal PC with Ubuntu Server installed) using a wired connection. All devices are successfully assigned an IP from the DHCP server (DHCP is on the router). I used to be able to connect the server to the network.
A problem has developed in the last couple of weeks on my Nexus 7. The WiFi radio seems to be acting up, with a much weaker connection then my Galaxy Nexus sitting right next to it, and sometimes when I do a speed test there is no up speed at all. What could the problem be and, short of flashing the new radio, what can I do?

My Nexus 7 loses WiFi signal more often than none. Granted, I am in my room with the door closed at night and the wireless router is located 3 rooms down the hall from me but, often when there is signal and access given to other devices in my room (such as my Droid Charge, my wifes SGII, and my ITouch), my Nexus 7 shows it as "Authenticating..." and never connects.
