Every device I have such as MP3, cellphone, psp etc, my brightness setting is always on the LOWEST setting. I even installed screen filter to make my android darker. What about you?

On multiple ThinkCenter machines at the office, the screen brightness on the desktop displays is being set to the lowest setting. Using the monitor HUD the brightness can be changed again, but doing this several times a day is rather frustrating.
I get the impression some Lenovo software must be causing this, but haven't found anything. Does anybody have any suggestions?
Hi, I have my phone on the lowest setting of Settings -> display -> brightness and I also have automatic brightness turned off, and the screen is still too bright and drains battery like crazy. My friend's galaxy s3 is so much dimmer and she can go even lower. Any suggestions? Much appreciated! :)
I'm a newbie to Ubuntu. Currently I used 12.04 on my Compaq CQ40 lappie.
Everything is work out of the box. Internet, WiFi, Bluetooth, and etc.
and I able to comfirmed that ubuntu is a good OS and I like it ... love it.
But one thing that I faced is ... in every re-boot, my Monitor Brightness is always in default setting. No matter what setting that I used.
