I have a copy of ubuntu in a usb drive that I use to boot from. For some reason whenever it loads the screen looks really messed up. I have a HP Pavilion dv6629us. I attached a picture of the screen.

Hello,
I hope someone can help me with this, I'm getting a little frustrated. I uploaded my videos to my PC. When played in Windows Media, the video is fine, but no audio. I read a post about playing the video in QuickTime, so I tried that and it played, but the video was green and the audio was all scratchy and muffled.
HandBrake, a tool for converting video from nearly any format to a selection of modern, widely supported codecs, has just reached version 0.9.9.
I bought Hulk on DVD and wanted to transfer the file to my Rezound, how do I go about it? On my computer the file is in WMV format, and when I pulled a video from my phone it was in MP4 format I believe? Well, my question in a nutshell is can I just drag the video into the 'video' folder of my phone? Will it automatically convert it to the proper format? Or is there another step I must do?
Just started having this problem. I record a video and i go to play it back and i get a message of "video cannot be played" then after a while the video shows up as a white square with a play sign on it on my video screen as seen in the picture

I have been using mpd for a long time now and absolutely love it.
However, I recently added a few video files to the mpd database. Now I understand mpd won't play the video files, I don't want it to.
But when mpd plays the audio track of the video file, there is a lot of static noise in the output. My other audio files work perfectly with mpd.
So I recently upgraded from Ubuntu 10.04 to 11.10 via incremental upgrades. I seem to have some issues with Flash, whenever I try and view a flash video (or any type of flash media) I see the image attached below. This occurs in both Firefox 9 and Chrome. I have Flash-Aid installed in firefox and ran the script, but it does not fix the issue. Anyone else experiencing this?
