Since I bought my phone I havnt had a battery cycle. I think it means I need to drain and charge it to full.
Battery life seems to be decreasing so my question it how many battery cycles are required and they all should be one after the other?
Edit: I'm very sorry I should have posted it in q&a. Mods please move this thread.
well, the carrier sub-forum is open! Let me be the first on TMo forum.
I know we can swap battery in and out, still, prolong battery life is a good thing, if possible.
general tips for prolonging Lion battery's lifespan
Battery lose capacity with more charging cycles (100-0-100-0). It drops about 10-20% at 250-300 charging cycles.
Battery also lose capacity when stored.
ZeroLemon suggests "conditioning" the battery to get proper calibration when you first receive your battery. This is opposite of what other sources about Lithium battery technology say to do. They say "deep discharge" cycles actually damage Lithium Ion batteries. Is this an "urban myth" that keeps getting promoted in the Lithium Ion battery world?
I use battery monitor widget pro and battery calibration to get my extended battery calibrated for new roms and kernels. It works fine for a few cycles, but after the third or fourth cycle, my total mAh measurements go all out of proportion. I have a 3500 mAh extended battery and have the phone registering that it IS an extended battery. The issue im having is that it will only measure 1400 mAh.
With a longevity of just a day, it looks like the Moto 360 will go through over 300 charge cycles in about a year. From the teardown data, it appears the battery isn't meant to be replaceable. Or am I wrong?
I bought an anker battery and at first was a bit disappointed but after a few charge cycles it really is amazing. I've gone from 2 hours screen on time to 3 and a half. Only issue is the phone gets to 13% and switches off completely.
It is either reporting the battery level wrong or there's some other issue. I'm on Viper 1.6.0 rom.
The picture below is of an Anker 1900mAH li-ion battery that was washed off a washing machine. Out of curiosity, I tried charging it through it's dedicated charger and accordingly, the battery works fine.
