I have installed zorin os 6.3.When I try to use Google Chrome in normal user, it is working fine.
Now if I want to use as a root it gives the following error:Google Chrome does not run as root
I need a permanent solution for this. Pls help.
I use Google Chrome 36.0.1985.143 m x86 on Windows 8.1 Pro, August Update (Update 2).
I noticed that Chrome always notifies me that I should restart my browser because of a browser update.
I do that, but after that the message doesn't disappeared from chrome://chrome/
(But the update was successful.)
This phenomenon occurred earlier too.
I uninstalled Google Chrome and these folders:
Google Chrome seems to be saving passwords on a per site basis, but I'm developing a site where I'd like to have different http authentication details depending on the directory accessed AND have Chrome remember this.
That is to say, http://site.com/a and http://site.com/b have different http user/password combinations.
Every time Chrome is updated, it reverts to opening small screen [NOT maximised]. This is very irritating.
In order to reset it to open maximised, you need to change the general command parameter in /usr/share/applications.
Find the Google Chrome icon [desktop configuration file] and right click (clack).
Select properties, which shows the basic properties.
I run '/opt/google/chrome/chrome' and read '/opt/google/chrome/chrome: error while loading shared libraries: libpng12.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory' yet have '/usr/lib64/libpng12.so.0' (lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 22 Aug 7 21:05 libpng12.so.0 -> /usr/lib64/libpng12.so). what is the problem? thanks.
