Well it was not meant in the way of possessing them in any way. I am familiar with pacman basics, removing and reinstalling the fonts worked as supposed to. What did not change was the look of Nimbus itself.I know that the letters are squashed because I can compare old PDF´s with the original content.
task spooler is a Unix batch system where the tasks spooled run one after the other. The amount of jobs to run at once can be set at any time. Each user in each system has his own job queue. The tasks are run in the correct context (that of enqueue) from any shell/process, and its output/results can be easily watched.
Hello,I am observing strange font rendering in Firefox when text is displayed in the Nimbus Sans L font-family. For example, the selected font on duckduckgo.com is Nimbus Sans L on my machine. Any query result that contains "No" or "TM", inluding inside words such as Notebook or HTML will be substituted for № and ™, or №tebook and H™L. This is a nuisance.
I have acquired an Epson XP-200 printer/scanner and have 2 questions thereto related.
1) I see from the Epson web site it has support for CUPS, LPD, LPRng, PPR, PDO, and no spooler. PPR & PDO are of no interest to me. CUPS apparently intercedes so that either LPD or LPRng can be used, I think.
How do I install my printer/scanner so that there is "no spooler".
We have a server that takes ~20mins to start up. Some testing was done, and we were able to determine that it is the print spooler service that is causing the slow down. Not enabling it with automatic start up cuts the boot time down to 5mins. I have not been able to find much of anything about the spooler causing a slow boot; everything seems focused on it causing slow printing.
I am new to printing system in ubuntu 12.04.
