Okay, I have been reading for quite some time about the different kernels and can't decide what to do. I am stock, rooted, and unlocked. I have been playing with Set CPU and can't tell much of a difference regardless of what settings I use. I have alot of screen time on my phone and am more interested in battery savings as opposed to over clocking.
Just wondering how much battery life you guys are getting on average.
Please post battery life, screen on time, kernel, and ROM.
I charge my phone every night so my total time is usually 13-14 hours
Getting about 3.5 hours screen time with about 15% left (will post screenshots tomorrow, I've been flashing a couple new kernels and roms so my battery life is terrible today XD)

Hey fellow gnex community! I recently left stock rom due to freezes and random reboots. I've tried out various rom and kernel combinations this week such as xylon/AK, Purity/AK, AOKP/franco/lean, CM10.1/trinity/franco, Rasbean/trinity, PA/lean/franco/trinity/AK and Xenon.
The problem is they all freeze and reboot constantly after 2 minutes of use.
I know we have a lot of battery life threads and I absolutely love this phone but mine is not getting good battery life. I'm an advanced android user, I know it well and I do know that some devices just have bugs which kill battery life.
I've been using several custom roms on my Defy green lense and i noticed an issue with the battery life.
It happens that every time i fully charge the phone, when it goes to 70% battery life it instantly drop to 50%, battery drain, even with STOCK Froyo.
But if i charge it to 69%, not fully 100% or over 70%, it goes normal...
Is the battery bricked ?
I been using the illusion ROM with ask stars kernel and it' was running great! Awesome performance with decent battery life. 8 to 9 hours with have usage. I'm now experimenting with ktoonz and lean kernel. As well as trying different settings governors and schedulers.
First, here's the constants: I keep wifi/BT/GPS on 100% of the time. This was true when battery life was good, and now that battery life is bad. Disabling these will improve battery life, but will not fix my problem.
When the phone is sleeping overnight, I used to get 8-12% battery usage over about 8 hours.
Ok so Im running steal's 25 badass latest rom, but my problem is my battery keeps draining real quick, I'm currently running a stock tiamat ICS kernel and I know kernels have usually a lot to do with battery life expectancy and phone speed. So i would like to know which kernel is so far the best and most stable for the HTC EVO 3d? Please and thanks.:laugh:
DOOOOOHHHHH!!! The Android OS eating my battery agaaain! Whyyyy???!!!! It happens with every ROM and every kernel after I fully charge my battery after installing new ROM! It's horrible! I can't live with battery lasting 6 hours with no use... Pleaaase help me! Android OS eats more than 30% of my battery!
