I'm having only one ethernet port in the server in my lab and server has to be setup for two networks. One network is for thin clients and the other for Internet. The thin clients gateway is 192.168.0.1 and Internet gateway is 192.168.1.1. Right now, I've setup two wired connections, one for Internet access and other for Thin clients. But only one can be used at once, not both.
I've just set up an LTSP server (11.04) and created an admin user account. I can log in with a thin client just fine. Everything seems to be working but but when I create a document, save a bookmark or make any changes, everything is wiped out when the client logs out.
Also when I try to use any of the admin tools (i.e.
I have installed LTSP on my 10.10 and its working. My thin client now are starting nicely and I can see the login screen. But I do not have any login credentials for the machine. I tried checked on /etc/passwd for users but there are no users. How can I create users for my thin client?
Has any body tried to manage through it?
I'm looking at setting up a thin client terminal that connects to my ltsp server. Once into an ubuntu desktop I'll need rdesktop to connect to my Windows VM. Connected to the thin client will be a keyboard, mouse, usb hand scanner and usb weight balance.
Will I be able to pass through these usb devices through rdesktop to my windows VM?
