This might be the only thing I miss from windows.
There is no way to tell the system to run in high performance mode or in power saver mode.
May be this feature which is already there and I am not sure.
So, Is there a way to change the system operation mode into high-performance?

If your rooted and want to get a preview of what your next HTC phone might be like, one way to do that is to install Virtuous Infinity, which is not at a near bug free version 1.3.5.
If is a full Sense 4 ROM so it will give you a look at the interface of new HTC phones like the HTC One X, One XL, One S and other high end 2012 HTC releases.
Hi,
Whenever i enable the power saver feature ehich is virtually daily ,when i look at me phone throughout the day,the power saver feature has been auto disabled from time to time, then i have to re-enable it. Very annoying. It does suspend the feature when its charging and powered on which makes sense, but the fact that i have to keep enabling it every now and then is very frustrating.
I am running Ubuntu 12.10 on an HP Pavilion dv9000 with the MATE DE. For some reason my screen keeps going to sleep (going blank) after 10 minutes of being idle, but I have the screen saver turned off and I have the power settings set to NEVER turn off or dim the monitor.
Just installed Lubuntu on older laptop, works great, I'm very happy with it, but two questions:
1- how do I turn screen saver off? I have set the power settings to turn off screen after 10 minutes.
I have disabled power management and un-installed gnome-screen-saver and themes.
But the screen keeps going black, and it don't go into power-save.
Exactly as if the screen-saver was present ....
Can it be xdg-utils ?
