If your Nitro is like mine, then its' compass couldn't find North to save its' life. Or worse yet it might be in the vicinity, but is very sporadic...Makes it just about impossible to use apps like Google Star Maps or get a proper bearing on direction in Nav when you're at a stop.

I have an issue with compass and gps.
Ihave an out of the box Samsung Galaxy S 2.3.6 firmware.
Trying to use it for some geocache i noticed that my compass is facing in the opposite direction, i dont have any other compass app on my phone.
How can this be fixed ?
This is a simple needle based compass, with fixed dial.

IF you look in the /system/etc/permissions
you can find the permissions things which sort of give permissions for the Hardware and stuff ...
i just copied the files for Compass and tried in A70 but does not work :p

Hey guys, is there a way to fix the compass problem? When I use an application such as Navigon and use the mode "walk" to navigate, the compass starts to "vibrate" and does not mark the point at which direct me because it moves in all directions ... it's like crazy.
I'm on CM10 and this happens on devil and STOCK kernel too (and it happened on CM9 too)....
