I have made an android compass app from github source code it work's ok when launched first few times but after getting out of compass activity and starting it again the compass pointer stops showing moving . Its a Qibla compass app.
I think the registeListeners() method might be causing problem since it might not be registering the listeners when the compass activity is resumed !!
I have a quick question. I have a Sprint version G2 and I am unable to locate the compass function. Does a compass come installed in the software or do I need to download a compass from Google Play store? Thanks for the help.
This is not exactly groundbreaking but if your compass is regularly getting stuck at a very narrow direction, ie, your google map pointer is always pointing roughly the same way, download GPS Status, calibrate compass under settings, and rotate your phone as if it is in a gyro 2 times in each axis.
click ok, and bob is your mother.
I was rather relieved to find this, other compass calibration me
So I've created an image button which has a shake animation(much like I phone on click)!. All are good on emulator and log cat but, when I try to click the image button on the real device the animation looks like 2 frame video, not smooth at all! Also the hardware Accelerated, is set to true in Android manifest file and the target SDK is set to 19 . Any suggestions are welcome.
If your Nitro is like mine, then its' compass couldn't find North to save its' life. Or worse yet it might be in the vicinity, but is very sporadic...Makes it just about impossible to use apps like Google Star Maps or get a proper bearing on direction in Nav when you're at a stop.
