When I install nVidia drivers from terminal with this command:
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current
... and I reboot, I get the max.
I just did a fresh installation of Oneiric Ocelot 11.10 on my Acer Aspire One 753 laptop, which on its own seems to be working correctly.
The laptop has the odd display resolution of 1366x768, and I want to connect a video projector to its HDMI port, which has the resolution of 1280x720 (HDTV 720p).
Both (the laptop LCD panel and the video projector) are identified correctly, and are automat
Will the Galaxy Note be able of miracasting full 1080p. Is AllshareCast essentially miracast?

And gizmodo's report: http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2012/09/what-is-miracast/
The MHL- HDMI Adapter thing is semi-nasty, with supposedly being restricted to 720p or 1080i.
I am having trouble setting the correct resolution on my external monitor via HDMI
I have the gen3 Sandy Bridge processor with an Nvidia card. After I installed the Nvidia driver I got 640x800 resolution on my laptop monitor, but was able to set 1080p on my external monitor.
I have a sharp xr 40x projector, with a brand new bulb in it. I have extra hook up adapters so you can plug basically anything into this, hdmi, vga, video, dvi, component. It is 720p native, does support 1080i. I have no room for this after moving in with my girlfriend. In the future if you need a new bulb they are 80$ shipped to your house via ebay.
A 16.2 megapixel camera that doesn’t lose resolution or quality when extended from the 5x optical to 10x “pixel super resolution” zoom, records active steady shot Full HD 1080i video, takes 12 megapixel stills while video is recording, takes 3D photos and 42.9 megapixel panoramic pics and more? Nice!

The problem I have is related to my ubuntu/mythbuntu HTPC connected to my Denon AV receiver via HDMI.
Previously, I used to have another AV receiver to which my HTPC was connected via components and I could display 1080i without a problem.
When i first plug my video projector using the hdmi output of my crunchbang laptop, i had issues. The resolutions don't match ... laptop's resolution is 1366x768, projector is 1280x720Cloning with grandr works fine but the desktop on the projection is not complete. Some lines are missing at the bottom and the right of the screen projection.
I am looking to have a simple application built that will open any given Adobe Flash .swf file and play it. Simple right?
The device will connect to an HD tv through HDMI, DVI or whatever, the board will handle that. The important thing is that the linux os must be able to support high resolution video at dimensions of 1920x1080 (1080i) and without flickering
