Hello, Sorry if I am posting in a wrong thread but was not sure so posted up hereI was facing the problem with my atheros card not being detected by crunchbang. I was using kernel 2.6.32-5-amd64, so other guys at irc channel suggested me to upgrade to the new kernel.
I understand the next release of CrunchBang will be based on Debian Squeeze, I was just wondering if it will still get Ubuntu's font rendering? The rendering I'm talking about can be better illustrated in this article: http://lovingthepenguin.blogspot.com/20 ueeze.html.
I have installed Ubuntu 12.04. I have installed bumblebee too, and it works fine. But my operating system is very slow. I suppose it's because the Intel video card is rendering my graphic interface. When I want to use my dedicated video card, I use the optirun command (e.g optirun firefox). How can I use optirun for graphic interface rendering?
It's 2 year I've started using ubuntu. In ubutnu 10.04 until ubuntu 11.10 anything was Ok with my Graphic card, But when I migrate to ubuntu 12.04 I had a corruption in my graphic card and I paid expert to repair it. It was Ok with ubuntu 12.04 in continuous but when I upgraded to ubuntu 12.10 I'm never able to install my nvidia.
Hello everyone,So, I finally installed and run Crunchbang 11 Waldorf on my laptop, but I have some issues with upgrading Xorg from version 1.12 to 1.15.2. The reason, why I need to upgrade is Catalyst driver for my graphic card. My graphic card is Radeon R7 M265 (I have Lenovo IdeaPad G510). Driver I downloaded and want to install is fglrx 14.10 (AMD Catalyst™ 14.4).
I have an older 2600k that I ran overclocked (but not hot) for 3 years approx. 4.7 ghz on a p65 sabertooth. At one point a few months back it began to blue screen occasionally in a certain rendering application.
