Is there a way to boost the wifi reception strength? My Android phone and laptop both pick up wifi signal great in the corners of my home, but the Nexus 7 drops the signal or just has a weak one dot in those same places. Seems like I have to be within 10-15 feet of the router to get a really strong signal.
Hi everyone,
I noticed that the wifi signal with the evo v seems weaker than the Motorola Triumph that I had. All my other devices get a strong signal only the evo v is weak...Please let me know if your evo v has similar issues......
So I was hoping to connect to my router via the 5ghz band and if I'm just one level up from where my router (TP-LINK TL-WDR4300 N750) is, it will drop all signal. Even when I'm on the same floor, it won't be at full strength (mostly around 75%). My laptop and iPad has no issue and get a pretty strong signal. Even one computer that's two floors away has no issue connecting at that band.
Good day all, a friend of mines recently bought an unlocked galaxy s2 online..out of the box the imei number was resetted to the manufacturer's default 0049*** number.
Hello,
I have bought Xperia Arc S(running 4.0.4 now) few days ago, and ran into some wi-fi issues.
It's not the connect->disconnect->connect issue, that one is fixed thanks to one app (FXR WiFi fix and rescue), but there is another problem.
The wi-fi signal is just too weak.
Due to Foxfi apparently not supported with Jellybean, the only thing that will make me update is if the radio was improved. The current issues I have had with two GS3's is 4G sometimes switching to 3G in strong 4G areas (I have to reset back to 4G using Opensignal) and the main issue is the awful battery drain in weak 3G areas. Far worse than my Razr.
I have been using a custom ROM for more than 4 months now,
However I am not sure if custom ROMs have weaker wireless strength than stock ROMs?
While using custom ROMs (Sense/Senseless/Viper/ARHD &etc) my wireless signal from my room is very weak, but I have also forgotten that if the stock ROM was as weak as these ROM.
ps.
I want to know if there exists any command line option or GUI tool (Ubuntu 11.10) so that I can measure the strength of wireless signal at a given location.I have a house where the wireless is not easily accessible at all corners I want to know at which corners or rooms the signal is weak. This will help me a lot.
Thanks in advance.
Not sure anyone can answer this but I will ask anyway. I have 2 S3's Galaxy note 10.1, Galaxy Tab 10.1 and a old Epic 4g plus a (yuk) Iphone 4s for work. When in Best Buy none of the Samsung devices can find their signal, it won't even show up to connect to. It does show up and connect on the Iphone.
