Motorola announced today via Twitter that the company would not be offering its bootloader unlocking tool to users with older devices. According to the manufacturer, handsets like the Droid Bionic, Droid 3 and Droid X2 are not “currently in the plan“, meaning owners of these devices will be left out in the cold.

While the HTC One X has been a hit with consumers and tech enthusiasts alike there has been one thorn in the paw of this lion of a phone. That’s the fact that AT&T has the device’s bootloader locked. This potential slap in the face to HTC’s unlocked bootloader policy has caused an uproar and enough of one that HTC made an official statement the other day.

The next generation of the T-Mobile MyTouch smartphone series are on their way everyone. The devices known as the myTouch and myTouch Q are developed by Huawei and will each feature a 1.4GHz processor, 4-inch WVGA screen, 5MP camera and Gingerbread 2.3.

So i got bored and well decided to wonder off into the darker side of xda an xda i nvr visited but i found this! http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2133336 it should make unlocking your bootloader easier! plz read the op ppl! hope this helps anyone trying to unlock their bootloader and achieve s-off!

I'm sure its a little pre-mature since it just came out here in the U.S. yesterday but, has anyone heard anything about the tf700 getting the bootloader unlocking tool? My tf700 is on its way here now, and all thought I'm sure its great stock, I have to have my custom rom's. :)

Motorola appears to have awakened to user requests for more control over their smartphones in the form of an unlockable bootloader. On their blog today, Motorola announced that they have worked with their partners to respond to market demand for unlockable bootloaders.

While the Chinese company Huawei has quietly released high-end devices like the Huawei Ascend P1 and the Huawei Ascend D Quad, they are still not a brand on the tip of the average American’s tongue. In an effort to change this, their next move is to produce two devices released by T-Mobile under the “myTouch” name.

Nexus 4 shipments are starting to arrive for the very lucky souls that were able to get an order in. If you plan on unlocking your bootloader (and subsequently rooting) you Nexus 4, we recommend doing it first thing since unlocking the bootloader will reset and erase everything on your device.
