I'm just after a bit of quick advice if possible. My phone stopped working around 2 weeks ago with two small strips on the touch screen not responding to touch. I was in bed at the time so not exactly a wet place! (yes yes, you can make some jokes here!).
Just bought it and put it in a glass of water to test water resistance but I neglected one clip on the back. The battery indicator shows water damage on the sticker but there's a second water damage sensor sticker that's still white! I put it in rice over night n it turns on but no screen image displays. I hear text so it's working fine still.
I accidentally dropped my brand new phone in some water, and I thought it was dead at first but after a couple days it booted fine, but the battery seems to drain pretty fast and it also periodically vibrates when it's off but the battery is in. I want to get it replaced but I'm not sure what my best options are. Can I sign up for Asurion insurance and get a replacement with a deductible?
recently i was in New Orleans (quite hot and sticky, very humid) and was changing the battery on the phone, soon as i did this the Sim Card wouldnt be recognised, which i found abit odd and with numerous attempts at removing the sim card to no avail, soon looked behind the battery to discover the water damage mark was set to red and crosses, assuming it was water damaged somehow i took it t
About 3 weeks ago I forgot my One was in my pocket and went at the water park after about 5 minutes I realized it was in my pocket and quickly took it out and kept it out in the sun to the best of my ability and put it in rice right away and kept it there for 5 days. After charging it and turning it back on, thankfully it was working perfectly.
Ok so I'm a pretty avid Motrolla user but as far as Sony goes I'm batting in the blind.
So i did some searching around amd couldnt find much. The GF's phone got water damage (was at beach taking pics of crabs i tide pools) well the other day the USB flap came off. I was able to fix it though.
There was a water spill over my phone and i didn't care much at the time for its water resistance. Now the phone is acting all funny, every time i turn on the phone all the icons and soft keys automatically gets pressed. Kinda ghost touch or sth . I think water got inside the default protective layer as the phone behaves normally just the screen sensitivity is gone .
