Wanna buy, What do you Recommend?

http://forum.xda-developers.com – Hello guys, I am planning on buying this phone because its great. But before I do I wanted to get some things straight. To start I live in Mexico, and im planning on buying it from Ebay, so the phone will most likely be an AT&T version phone. Will EDGE/2g/3g/4g work outside the US, 4G and the rest are available in my area but ive read that sometimes that and the WiFi gets messed up when you root it. I definitely want to root it, so I can use Titanium backup and other apps that need root. Basically my question is... Will there be any problems if I buy a US (American) phone and use it (HowTos)

So, after planning on leaving my S3 stock.... I found a few things annoying (bluetooth voice command issues) and will root my phone.

Just wondering what people would suggest.

I like stock, but willing to try something new. ICS is fine....JB is okay too.

Sound off... what is your favorite ROM and what method did you root with? Links would be great.... I'm playing catchup here....

I'm going to upgrade to an S3 soon and was planning on selling my old Captivate. It is rooted and has ICS (CM9) on it. I was wondering if a factory reset would be enough to erase all of my data on it while keeping the root and the firmware. Also, with Titanium Backup on my phone, are there any extra things I should delete from the internal memory? Thanks!

I don't know if I should root my phone, I hear some people on youtube saying don't root, not need, " both I like to freeze apps, "like the apps I download, that re start up by its own" they say the root that is out now ,ain't even for the Lg Motion..that wit will mess up your phone...

Has anyone had problems rooting it, and after rooting it?

I rooted my daughter's EVO 3d with Hboot version 1.3. I don't remember exactly method I used, but I think that it was revolutionary. I got superuser on the phone and s-off when the process was complete, but root apps won't work, and root checker says that I don't have proper root access. The phone works fine just no root. What am I missing?

Hey guys, I'm new here and im really new to Android, i decided to switch over from apple because they are lame... I bought a samsung galaxy s3 AT&T 16gb, roughly 2 n a half weeks ago. I was looking at the OMEGA rom and i read that i had to be rooted first so i tried to root my phone and when i used odin, it said my phone was incompatible with the root file.

I am currently using a non-rooted Xperia Neo (M15i) on 4.0.4 4.1.B.0.587, and am planning to change my phone (to Xperia Z). I would like to transfer some app data for a game (Puzzle & Dragons) to it.

So I flash new ROMs on my phone constantly and I would never be able to bear being such a flash whore without titanium backup. I'd like to root my nexus but I keep reading it deletes everything and as dumb as it seems, I want to keep my Garfield data! I've read about nandroid backup but it does the same image right?

ok. so i had a rooted phone. no problems. then i upgraded sd card and the trouble happened. needless to say i ended up unrooting with gingerbreak(what i used to root). i verified this with root checker. all my root apps stayed on my phone tho along with superuser. i then tried to root again with gingerbreak and now it wont let me successfully root. any help is appreciated.
