As you can see in the title I tried the Cairo-Dock ,just 4 fun (I wish i did not)

I have just installed opensuse 11.2 and am using the gnome desktop environment. I just can't get it to change wallpapers. I select a wallpaper in the list, and nothing happens. I download a wallpaper and add it to the backgrounds. select it. nothing happens. I don't particularly like the default wallpaper and I hate to abandon the whole OS just because of this, but it's irritating.

I upgraded from Lubuntu 14.04 to 14.10. Lubuntu 14.04 was working great, for the most part. The upgrade, not so much.
One of the probems I have is that the Desktop wallpaper, no matter which one I choose, is always completely fuzzy upon any type of reboot, cold or otherwise. I can re-set the Wallpaper back to normal via Desktop Preferences.
