Hello,I own a Dell Vostro 1310.Suspend systemctl suspend and hibernate systemctl hibernate works without any problems, also resuming from these. But when I suspend my system to RAM I can wake up only via power button - wake up via USB fails. In BIOS I enabled 'USB wake support (only AC mode)'.http://ompldr.org/vZ2thaQ/bios.jpgI also tried using another keyboard (the one of my brother), but
I'm having issues setting up Wake on lan on my computer running 12.04. I have followed several tutorials explaining how to set it up, but none have resulted in success. I have enabled the wake on lan feature in the Bios, but apart from that haven't made any noticeable progress.
Hi,
I am using Lubuntu 12.10 64-bit on a new Toshiba Satellite L840D laptop. I am having a problem with keyboard shortcuts that use the function keys: F9 to decrease volume, Alt-F4 to close windows, etc. Most of the time, these shortcuts work fine. However, they stop working altogether whenever I either wake up from suspend or plug in the power cord.
My situation:
Ubuntu 10.10 running on an Atom driven main board
The main board has a GPIO chip integrated (F75111 by Fintek).
They communicate through I2C (SMBus). We have a driver running that works, we can send outputs and read inputs. Great!
We would like to use the I/O interface to suspend (sleep) and wake up again.
Sleep is no problem. On an incoming input: run s2both.
Hi. I have installed a Linux in my USB, I'm using a desktop PC.
In the morning, when I want to use the PC, I wake up and walk to my little office, then I press the Power button in the CPU but sometimes the Desktop doesn't boot, and the monitor don't show anything, but the FANS and the Power supply are ON.
Hi all,
At last week I tried the ubuntu 9.10 on my hp nc4200 notebook. I'm using 9.04, so I not upgraded to 9.10. Fresh, virgine HDD, install from original CD, update from net, and the 9.10 ready to start... but...
I have a SAMSUNG laptop, which by the experience in the last months, has been a great one. I am actually implementing some functionality to it, and since I noticed, I am able to wake up my laptop from sleep by just opening the lid on Windows 7, however, I need to press to power button to wake up in Ubuntu.
Thinkpad x40.
Ubuntu 11.10.
Kernel - 3.2 (installed from deb)
Video drivers from xorg-edgers ppa.
The machine will wake up OK from hibernation most of the time.
I have configured WOL on my Asus E35M-pro.
