Wacom tablet on Suse 11.2

http://forums.opensuse.org – Hello, on 11.1 (64 Bit) I had my Wacom Bamboo working, using the manual I found here: Wacom Linux Installation - GIMPForum Now I have installed 11.2 (also 64 Bit); unfortunately, the procedure requires modifying /etc/x11/xorg.conf. But 11.2 doesn't have this file, because from my understanding X11 on 11.2 is configured automatically and doesn't need the file. So, how do I get the tablet working ? Regards Martin (Distributions)

Hi, i don't know if i can help or not. But i just bought the CTH-470(M) today and have it working in Archlinux.As far as packages relating to Wacom,  i am using the xf86-input-wacom-git, libwacom, wacom-utility and wacom-udev packages in the AUR.

I decided to write here because I was wondering if there are any Wacom Bamboo (MTE-450) tablet users who experience any resume problems with their tablets on 11.3. I experience this issue on 11.2 - tablet was not working after resume from suspending to RAM - I had to replug it in order to make it work. Now when I upgraded to 11.3, the issue was still there.

My Wacom Bamboo Tablet stopped working on Ubuntu today. Neither the pen nor the mouse works, and the light is on, so it's not a hardware problem. It's worked perfectly fine up to this point.

I have the linuxwacom xorg drivers and wacom-tools installed. I've done searches and found this same problem many times, but none of the solutions worked for me.

I just got a Wacom graphics tablet, plugged it in, installed the drivers and it mostly works. However xsetwacom and the KDE tablet settings module don't recognize it. Upon inspection of Xorg.0.log I have discovered that Xorg uses the evdev driver instead of the proper wacom one. What do I have to do in order to use the correct driver?

I was looking at ordering an extra stylus before my Note comes in, was wondering if anyone tried the Wacom yet. I use a Wacom Intuos tablet, and like their stuff, but didn't know if it was any better than say the pen with the eraser (the other one I was looking at). Wish Wacom had done an eraser since plan on using PS Touch a lot (I'm assuming the other pens eraser works in that?).
