The volume control icon is missing from the panel. The n/w and battery icons are shown. When I try to edit the Notification Area from the Panel preferences I see the volume is not available as a recent app. I need help. Am a newbie :)
I feel little silly asking this, I accidently removed from my gnome panel my internet connection, volume control and battery indicator on F11. how can I add this back. It does not show up in the add to panel menu and the applications do not give you back the default feel.
I have installed Lubuntu 14.04 on an IBM S50 which has an Intel ICH5 sound card (according to AlsaMixer). The master volume control (the one found on the "Volume Control" on the bottom panel) does not work. I get sound coming out, but it neither raises nor lowers the volume. I also noticed that the volume control on Audacious does not work.
I've been tinkering with the sound on my #! installation, and now the volume control has disappeared without a trace, how can I bring it back? Also the multimedia keys for vol. up and down seem to lower or raise the PCM volume instead of the mixer's volume. Any way to fix that as well?
I would like to know if it is possible to fully integrate ossxmix with gnome control volume through volume icon/button (that in the system tray - at the far-right of the top Gnome panel-), I mean, when I set the volume from ossxmix that same volume could be updated in the gnome control volume automatically, and vice versa.
The volume icon in the panel is unresponsive (has been for weeks). When clicking it, only a several pixel white line appears. Right-clicking only brings up XFCE panel dialog box. In order to get sound, I had to open the PulseAudio Volume Control app.
I have a problem with my sound system, the thing is volume control went missing after I moved into another place, so I would like to bypass volume control, so I can have max volume on sounds, and minimum volume on bass, I took a look at this http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/sh...ad.php?t=39747
post, but I found it too complicated for me, so is there any chance for a simple ,,newbie frien
I've been using Ubuntu 12.10 fore months now and all of a sudden today a log in and my Fn keys won't change the volume and i noticed there was no volume indicator from my top panel was gone so now can't change my volume unless I use the terminal.
