http://forum.xda-developers.com – Hi guys, before you blast me for not looking at the other threads please listen me out . I am getting "Charging paused, voltage too high" on my S II . I had rooted my phone and upgraded to stock 4.0.3 samsung ics 6 months back . Didnt have any issues when suddenly this message came up. I have tried cleaning the usb port and the battery connectors but no use . On looking over the various threads , it seems there is no specific solution to this that works apart from replacing the usb port itself . I wanted to know will this be replaced under warranty now that i have rooted my phon (HowTos)

Hi guys,

For the last few months I've had issues with charging my s2. I have had to hold the charger in a specific spot for it to charge in the past and recently I've been getting the 'voltage too high charging paused' pop up a lot more often.

High battery voltage?! 24 weeks 2 days ago

I just got this message everytime I turn on my phone:"Paused charging,high battery voltage"!.Does anybody know why or how to fix this? Thank you!:confused:

I am BEYOND disappointed with my Samsung Galaxy S2. My husband and I both purchased Galaxy S2's a couple of months ago and almost immediately after getting them I had trouble charging mine. The phone battery drains quickly, sometimes gets really hot, and then, started to not take a charge at all.

Ive just sent my phone back to virgin for a repair. At the weekend the phone was saying "charging paused battery temp too high/low" it eventually charged so I didnt think much of it.

Hi there! I have an unusual problem with my phone. While charging the phone (AC) I get the following message: "Your phone is using more current than the charger is able to deliver." It will show as having maybe 10 % power left but when I reboot the phone it's suddenly fully charged.

Hi, I bought my GSM galaxy nexus about 2 months back. I unlocked bootloader, rooted and installed stock JB, with franco.kernel. It worked fine for maybe a month. Then, charging the battery started maxing out at lower than 100%. Now, it does not ever charge beyond 82-83%. (in battery settings, it shows "82% - Not Charging" even with the stock chrger plugged in.

Guys have anyone of you tried to ask for warranty after you have rooted your one x? Cause in some cases like samsung they also say that when you root your phone your warranty is void but in fact eventhough you rooted it and bricked it and asked for warranty they will give you the warranty?? I have bought an s2 I9100t in Australia and ever since I've had it whenever I try and charge the battery it says 'charging paused battery either too hot or too cold.' after just a few seconds.

Even when im not charging the phone it heats up alot on the side with the power button, and obviously gets worse when plugged in.

My question is pretty much as stated in the title.

I want to root my phone and install a custom rom, but I dont want to fall out of warranty coverage so I'm looking at buying a third party policy that covers actual damages (faulty parts, electrical component failure, screen failure, etc) on phones that are rooted.

Before a wave of commenters say "carriers don't care, sammy w
