How to export virtual machine from VMWare Workstation 8 to another physical computer with installed VMWare Workstation 8? i.e. how to move snapshots between different instances of VMWare Workstation 8?
Virtual machine host's Linux CentOS.
Assume, source and target machines with installed WMWare are both run on Windows.

Our windows server 2003 sp1 upgraded to sp2 . so some application not working(like picture viewer , vmware etc).Then i uninstalled the vmware and trying reinstall vmware .but not workout and it shows failed message(see attached image). I have also cleared temp folder and past vmware registry.So, Can you guide me to get out of this issue?

I need to work on linux (CentOS) and i like it to be installed on my windows pc using
VMWare (can be other VMhost).
Also I need it to be accessed via putty on the same machine.
The problem is when I did it before it always took me a lot of time to configure the SSH server and the Linux iptables firewall to make it work as i like.
Now i lost the document that explain me all this.
Our Windows Server 2003 SP1 was upgraded to SP2. Some application were not working (Picture Viewer, VMWare player,... ).
I uninstalled the Vmware Player and tried reinstalling it but it's still not working and shows error messages (see attached image).

I installed VMware Desktop 9, first as an update to VMware Workstation 8.03, and everything went smooth the installer told me that VM Workstation 8 would be uninstalled and VM Workstation 9 installed...
Hi everyone,i have a weird problem with the latest Vmware Player 5.0.0I have installed Virtualbox and everything went just fine but i can't start Vmware and neither there is a /bin directory.Kernel Headers and build-essentials is installed.When i type in terminal:azrael@crunchbang:~$ vmware-player
bash: vmware-player: command not foundwhereis :azrael@crunchbang:~$ whereis vmware
vmware: /etc/
I have CentOS server installed inside vmware for testing puprose.
For some strange reason When it comes up it won't get IP address properly
So, I have to manually use 'ifdown' and 'dhclient' every time it comes up.
I only do have problem with internet running interfaces and not any other interface.

My host operation system is Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit 6.1.7.601 Service Pack 1 and I have installed Fedora 17 64-bit on VMware Workstation Version 8.0.2 build-591240.
The problem is I have no idea how to install the VMware Tools. Would you explain it to me?
