vmware player usb device on slackware 14.0

http://unix.stackexchange.com – I just installed Slackware 14.0. I installed vmware player using this command: sh VMware-$NAME-$VERSION.bundle --console --ignore-errors Which I found from this website: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/slackware-14/installation-of-vmw... That allowed me to install a guest version of Windows XP (microcontroller programming). But I'm unable to connect a usb device to the guest xp vm. The usb device is acting like a serial device. Any thoughts? (HowTos)

I'm using Slackware v13.37 64 bit. I'm testing KVM on the machine and I've installed a Slackware guest on it.

I have been trying to install slackware 12 from usbboot.img (kernel 2.6.21.5) With huge.s at boot (oldie) I end up with a non working NE 2000 pcmcia networking card;

other tries: Under Slack 13:

(slackware 13 (2.6.33.4) gives error at boot with this PC :( and hangs dramatically.)

So, as any one who knows me here- Once I got hold of Slackware 13, after running 12.2/current

I said "hell; I'll throw it on the testbed and have a go!" LOL

So, standard medium install with xfce4

First thing I did was install my hack of jwm I made for Debian/Ubuntu

I wonder how to install network in it.

After the Slackware installation, audio and network were not working.
