My problem:
- I can go to youtube.com on Firefox 3.5.6 OR Google Chrome 4.0.249.43
- I can play videos on the web page (like normal)
- If I click the full screen button next to the volume or HD button, the screen goes black, the video plays, but the video does not expand full screen.
Hi #!-ers,I have two problems related with the video playback that may or may not be related.1. I've recently started to have problems with video playback on VLC and some other players I've tried (but not for sound, just video issues). The only one that seems to be ok is "GNOME MPlayer", that lets me play videos with sound.
Whenever I try to play a video in full screen, it does nothing. I press the button, it flashes as if the video disappears, and then returns to how it was before. I have successfully gotten into full screen, but I do have to click the button a thousand times until it takes effect.
I'm using the version of Skype from the Ubuntu Software Centre (skype 2.2.0.35-0precise3) but I can't for the life of me see how to make a video call full screen. All I have is a small window, dragging to the edges of the screen doesn't 'aero-snap' it larger.
Am I missing something really obvious, I can't see any full screen button, or work out a keyboard shortcut.
I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, and while using Ubuntu (unity 3d) full screen video playback is very choppy. This includes, VLC, movie player, and to a lesser extent youtube videos. However, not all video playback is choppy: smaller-sized or windowed videos run smoothly.
hello
i duel boot windows 7 64 bit / 12.04 lts
I tested a file that is 1080p full hd video quality. At the top of the video when using vlc it flickers like its skipping video frames. When i booted into windows 7 and ran the same file it was flawless perfect video playback so i am ruleing out a hardware issue.
also with movie player it does not play sound.
I'm curious as to what the best performing video players people are using with cm10. I'm currently running the SGT7 cm10 rom.
I am working on an android based application, that play videos.
I don't get any sound when I play a video DVD with vlc media player.
This is on a FC 17 64 bit machine, Xfce spin.
I have sound when I play Youtube videos in Firefox.
I have sound when I play sound files from xmms.
(Don't know what Mplayer would do. I find it's interface too mysterious.)
Anyone know what problem would be peculiar to vlc ?
