Okay, so I am really new at this forum stuff. I just took over my daughters vivid from my inspire. I have had it a couple of days now. So far everything was working fine until today. It will not connect to mobile internet, which is at&t. It will connect to wifi. It keeps telling me "connection failed due to incorrect APN setting".

The screenshot function on my vivid is not working. Have watched several YouTube videos showing "how to" but still not being able to get it to work. Watched a video of a screenshot app for android and the trial Version did not work and the paid version gave a pop up that it wasn't licensed. I need a screen shot app or function. Help?
Okay, I'm coming from using an HTC Inspire that was rooted / S-off and unlocked that had CyanongenMod7 on it.. And I miss that. I now have a HTC Vivid and I wanna unlock, root and S-off it. I googled it and it came up with alot of results, But alot of the programs out there did not work.
My biggest issue is right now... Rooting it.

So I just got my hands on a used HTC vivid. I'm very pleased with how elegant it is and how smoothly it runs. I first connected it onto a wifi network where it performs quite well.
The problem is I can't connect to the data network.
well, im pretty new at this, this is the first time i root and flash something in my htc vivid, i was trying to install the de-sensed rom and i followed a guide on this forum for the htc vivid, now just before installing the rom, i was told to enter recovery mode and wipe this and that and then install, but before i could i wasnt able to enter recovery mode.
