I have installed centos in fedora virtualbox. I would like to create a webserver in centos. Which would resolve dns on dynamic ip. Can I do that. If i can then how? I don't have a router or static ip.
I have a router with dynamic dhcp where I created some fixed adresses for some things I want to use with dyndns.
The problem is, that I have a pc/server which does not support dhcp/dynamic ip, so I have a static IP on this one (instead of only static IP for it on the router + pc in dhcp mode), which is the reason it won't show on my router's interface for portforwarding.
How can I make it show in
I run a local DNS server for development so I can wildcard host names to my virtual machine. This requires a static DNS entry. This kicks out the dynamic DNS. I have added the Google DNS entry for remote DNS 188.8.131.52 as temporary workaround. Also, I don't want to use hosts files they are not as flexible as a remote.
