Cannot install Guest Additions with Virtual Box version 3.0.8 , I'm on Windows Xp Media Center, and also I'm running fedora 11.|

I am very new to Fedora Linux. I just installed Fedora 18 guest in my Virtual Box 4.2.6 r82870 in Windows 7 host. However, the installation of VBox Guest Additions failed (build the main guest module failed).
I'm Unable to install VirtualBox Guest Additions on Fedora 64bit LXDE, the first couple of Linux virtual machines I setup I had no problems with guest additions, but I had to throw them again because of other issues.
Fedora is working fine except for the guest additions part.

Hi I am recently new to Linux and decided to go for fedora (bought a book that reffered to this). Installed Fedora in my virtual box and need help installing guest additions to make screen able to show in full.
I’ve just install gOS Linux in my Windows XP machine using VirtuallBox. Like always, after finish installing the OS, I continue to install VirtualBox Guest Addition on my fresh gOS. At the first try, I had an error message telling me that building Virtual Box Guest Addition failed.
Is anyone having trouble installing Guest Additions on VirtualBox 4.2.10? I want to install Fedora 18 (64bit) Guest on an Ubuntu Host and so far so good, except for the Guest Additions. Here is feedback from Fedora OS:

I am very new to Ubuntu. I recently got a new laptop running Windows 7. I am using Virtual Box and just installed the Ubuntu 12.10 ISO as a new Virtual Machine within Virtual Box. Everything seemed to install just fine and I even added the Guest Additions under Devices.
The problem is that I cannot see the menus and my login information.
I'm running Fedora 19 with KDE. I installed a Windows7 virtual guest. How do I create a desktop shortcut that will open the virtual guest directly? I don't want to risk having family members accidentally delete the virtual guest.
I just ran an upgrade on my F11 virtualbox install and now I can't get X to work. I can do a ctrl+alt+F2 and login but when I run startx, I get a blank screen. I have already reinstalled the vbox guest additions but still nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
