I failed to install flash-plugin on my firefox
My firefox is installed on path "/home/<<user>>/firefox"
1)
I tried to install flash plugin by rpm -Uvh flash-plugin-10.0.32.18-release-i386.rpm
It is not working as the files are not installed on the folder /home/<<user>>/firefox/
2) yum install flash-plugin
Loaded a new x32 machine with FC17 XFCE. I went through the adobe flash plugin install procedure. All that went without incident. Used all the latest updates for FC17 and flash.
I try youtube, the videos seem to load but never start to play. Just a black square. Now, go to the plug in control panel DISABLE flash. Go back to the page re-load and the video plays just fine.
Hello there.
I'm a newbie.
Have no relation with programming or etc. And I love fedora. Everything was fine until i had this incident.
I just saw Imikimi as a great site and their plugin is must have for me.
I googled deep to have their plugin @fedora but it's only for windows.
Running fedora 17 on ibm thinkpad t60.
Install of F17 went fine, when I go to a site that has video to display
a box pops up in upper right corner that says "install plugin"
The file I download is in RPM format.
I don't know how to install it.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks !

it actually booted, which is a step in the right direction from past install attempts...
logged in and opened firefox, went to youtube, suprise, no plugin...

Hello everyone,
I have been trying to install a gedit plugin called RunC to compile C programs using the text editor.
Although the instructions tell me to use ubuntu 9 or 10 for this, I'm currently running Fedora 16. I thought that I would not have much problems, but after running the shell script using the sh command to install the plugin, gedit showed no signs of the plugin being installed.
