In a former article I’ve talked about the XMPP:Jingle protocol to find a good replacement for Skype.
Some people asked me about Ekiga, is this a good software or not ? and how you can use it ?
Ekiga (formely known as GnomeMeeting) is an open source SoftPhone, Video Conferencing and Instant Messenger application over the Internet.
Ekiga is a H.323 and SIP compatible videoconferencing and VoIP/IP-Telephony application that allows you to make audio and video calls to remote users with H.323 hardware or software (such as Microsoft Netmeeting) as well as SIP endpoints.

Leave Ekiga allone. I downloaded ekiga-3.0.1-4 source rpm, and my script for src.rpm dependencies says you would need this:Quote: gtk2-devel >= 2.12 is ... [by DrLove73]
