Welcome aboard notinreallife. Most people seem to fiddle with conky & wallpapers; whatever turns you on. Make backup copies of whatever you are going to tinker with, makes it easier to go back if you mess things up.
Hello guys,I am an happy user of #! Statler on my aspire one A110L.it works really like a charm, just a little modification from default was to use, as debian wiki suggests, another kernel from here: http://thibm.free.fr/ using the latest.in this way, wireless and LAN works.
My first computer, in 1984, had the CP/M OS. All command driven. Years later, moved to DOS, and learned its commands, too. If I needed to do something special, I wrote a program in Basic or dBase (which I miss for its simplicity). Got aboard GUI with Window 95. Found Linux about four years ago and was intrigued so I gave it a try.
