Verizon Wireless has been plugging away on its own carefully-controlled mobile app store for years now — the carrier had planned to beef up the app discovery process with Chomp before Apple acquired the company, and it implemented new ESRB app content ratings not long ago — but now it looks like all that work may have been for naught.
It looks as if owners of the Verizon Galaxy S III are beginning to see a 62MB-sized update pushed to their devices at this time. We aren’t sure if this is Verizon’s version of the AT&T update that was pushed out about a month ago since it comes in at 20GB less than the 82MB AT&T update.

Hello everybody, this is my first post although ive been here for some time.great forum. I am sorry if this is in the wrong section but i have looked every where and cant find anything to what im going thru? I recently traded my galaxy s3 for a note 2 on verizon that was flashed to tmobile and then reflashed to verizon.
Looking to replace my Thunderbolt which I bought online without seeing it in person. This time around I want to hold and play before buying it. What is the store to do this in nyc? I seriously don't even know. I mean over the years I may been to a few little neighborhood cell phone stores.
Am I looking for a verizon corporate store? Or maybe a best buy?
I had briefly used a Galaxy S3, and one of the really annoying thing that Verizon seems to have done is to remove the wifi toggle in the notification area.
I finally saw the Verizon Note2 in the store, and guess what, there's no Wifi toggle in the notification area, just like the S3. Everything else is there, mobile data, gps, bluetooth, etc.
I have the Verizon 7.7 LTE (i815).
In the Play Store, it says the Verizon Mobile App is incompatible with my device, despite the fact that it is a VERIZON TABLET.
Grrrr...
Anyone have the .apk (or willing to get it and post it here) so I can try it and see if it works?
It's like the i815 is the forgotten Galaxy Tab -- a bummer, really as it's an awesome tablet.
Bought an unlocked phone. I want to add it to my Verizon account. It needs a SIM card. Before purchasing it I spoke to 2 Verizon representatives and both assured me that it would not be a problem. To verify before I went to a Verizon store I spoke with another representative tonight and she told me Verizon does not support unlocked phones. Is this true?

It’s been a long battle between Google and their Wallet app and NFC-equipped Verizon devices.
