Yesterday Big Red announced that tomorrow, March 15, they will be flipping the 4G switch in 7 new markets and will expand the service in 17 others. This will put them past the 200 markets mark (203 to be precise) and plans are to double it to 400 by years end. A few of the areas being lit up tomorrow are: – Dothan and Enterprise, Ala – Naples, Fla – Greenville, N.C. – Altus and Durant, Okla. – Longview/Marshall, Texas Veriz (IT news)

Verizon Wireless is all geared up for the summer, so that means it has to expand its already massive 4G LTE reach. The wireless carrier has announced it will expand service to a whopping 46 new markets, while also expanding the coverage in 22 existing markets, which is in effect now.

Verizon Wireless is by far the leader with 4G LTE by offering coverage in six times the number of cities it’s competitors offer combined. Verizon told CNET today that the company will be launching 33 new markets tomorrow bringing its total markets to 337.

Verizon announced a slew of new markets to be added to their already massive LTE network starting June 21st.  Verizon claims that 2/3 of the US population are now covered by LTE service.

  As Verizon continues its quest to becoming the most imposing largest 4G LTE network in all the land, it continues to expand coverage in many areas and markets of the country. Verizon has announced that it has expanded coverage in 4 New York state markets, which gives even more Verizon customers the opportunity to enjoy topnotch data speeds.

AT&T confirmed today that they will be flipping the LTE switch on three new markets starting on April 8. They also plan on adding nine additional markets, but not information was given as far as when.

AT&T announced earlier this week that it start pushing its spate of Windows Phones starting this Friday, and now rival carrier Verizon Wireless has come out with an announcement of its own. Apparently, VZW plans to begin taking pre-orders for the HTC Windows Phone 8X and the slightly chubby Nokia Lumia 822 starting at 1AM Eastern tomorrow, but the carrier has chosen to leave out a few key deta

Verizon continues to march toward their goal of having 400 markets with 4G LTE access before the end of 2012. They are very close to reaching their goal as they announced today the official addition of 34 new markets. Along with these new markets, Verizon is expanding their 4G LTE service in 38 existing markets.

It’s been less than two years since Verizon first lit up its 4G LTE network, and there’s little question that it’s been growing at a quick clip.

Yesterday and today, Verizon issued a series of press releases noting new 4G LTE markets throughout the U.S. Things got rolling with expansions of existing LTE markets in Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee yesterday. Today the 400th market milestone was reached with the flipping of the switch in Marquette, Michigan.
