First, here's the constants: I keep wifi/BT/GPS on 100% of the time. This was true when battery life was good, and now that battery life is bad. Disabling these will improve battery life, but will not fix my problem.
When the phone is sleeping overnight, I used to get 8-12% battery usage over about 8 hours.
I've been using several custom roms on my Defy green lense and i noticed an issue with the battery life.
It happens that every time i fully charge the phone, when it goes to 70% battery life it instantly drop to 50%, battery drain, even with STOCK Froyo.
But if i charge it to 69%, not fully 100% or over 70%, it goes normal...
Is the battery bricked ?

I just got Galaxy S2 (nordic) and i want to root it. I red several pages with all kind of explanations regarding roms, kernels..ect But i still wanted to be sure so i posted this thread.
I need recommendation for rooting method that will suite best my phone. Also i am not sure if there is any significant benefit from instaling custom roms (other than appearance).
I just got my first Android phone and its a Galaxy Nexus running Jelly Bean. The first two days I was getting around 4-5 hours of battery life and then started reading up on this forum and did a bunch of suggested changes like turning off NFC, location services etc. Also, downloaded Juice Defender and now the battery life is around 7 hours.
My girlfriend is thinking about getting a One X, however see wont be rooting, flashing custom rooms etc.
Whats the battery life like as I've heard it's pretty poor, also is the thing running JB or 4.0.4?
Other than battery life, I believe the ChaCha is one of the best QWERTY candybar Android devices out there (not much else to choose from...). So, I am on a mission to get as much battery life out of it as possible, without sacrificing much functionality.

I was wondering which rom you guys could recommend for better than stock battery life? Seems like a lot of the roms are tweaked for smoothness and speed not battery life. Currently on d3rpICS but the battery life isn't so great...barely getting 8 hours with 1 hour on screen time. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
