The new version of my favorite archiver software 7Zip is now reach Beta version. Its 7Zip 9.13 Beta. 7Zip is a file archiver that provide higher compression ratio. Compared to its rival, WinRAR or WinZIP, 7Zip has some benefits. Its an Open Source software, you can download, install and distribute freely.
So what I wanted to do is compress files (using 7zip) and split a 600MB folder into 199MB parts, but sadly when I tried to do this task with archive manager it gave me an error, but I know that if I use terminal it will work.
Is there a Unix command-line program that implements ZIP with ZIP64 support? The standard zip program won't ZIP files bigger than 2**32 bytes.
I don't want to use .tar.gz format, because with ZIP I can access the files without decompressing the entire archive.
I don't want to use 7zip because there is no native Python support for 7zip archives.
Thanks.

WinRAR is my favorite archiver software. Currently the WinRAR version is upgraded to version WinRAR 3.93. You can download this WinRAR for free. This new version contains many updates, bug fixes. But, currently WinRAR is rivaled with 7zip, Winzip and many other archiver software.
Hello Ubuntu Community,
As the tittle says, I would like to know any GUI to compress a whole directory which is around the 12 gb, thats why I need the ultra mode and I know 7zip is top in this situation.
Currently I'm using Ark, but it doesn't give any options to "tell the program" that I want ultra compression mode and make it use more ram (same as windows gui) and all the cores.
