Using VNC to connect to Raspberry Pi

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I've just gotten a Raspberry Pi, and have gotten it to connect to my Fedora 16 laptop. Now I need to figure out how to get the Pi's GUI working on my laptop, so I can use the Pi without having to mess with the mouse, keyboard and monitor on the Pi. A Wkik for Raspberry said to install vnc-server, and I did. But then it said to install Tightvnc, and from what I can tell, it's a Windows program. I searched and saw that Tiger VNC was an option, and I have that now on my laptop. When I tried to use it, it says unable to connect. I haven't specified any socket to use, and nothing has asked me to (HowTos)
