Hello, I am put Ubuntu 12.04 on my Dell Latitude E6520 laptop and I am having two different issues.
1) I cannot connect using the Dell Wireless 5630 EVDO-HSPA Mobile Mini-Card Modem. I actually downloaded the copy of Ubuntu 12 from the Dell website so its supposed to have all the right drivers. Everything seems to work but I cannot get connected.
iam using laptop dell inspiron 15R 5537 ... using dell wireless card 1705 ... and wireless is not defined on any linux distro i tried (ubuntu , debian , elemetary OS luna , gentoo ) :( i searched google for it .. but i couldn't find any useful solution ..
btw when it type ifconfig .. it displays lo and eth0 only .. and iwconfig no wireless driver ...

I have just done a complete install of 14.04.1 LTS.
Install went fine with the exception I have NO Wireless capability. The wireless icon is empty, Enable networking is checked, hotspot is good.
Switching WIFI on and off has no effect.
The subject laptop has a minipci card in it used for wireless connection. It worked well under XP Pro, but since formatting the disk, installing 12.04, and installing the drivers it still does not see the wireless signal. I have learned that Dell used Dell Quickset utility to turn on/off the card. Is there an alternative for ubuntu that can be used?
