Did anybody get custom shortcuts working for Texmaker (using latest version 3.5)?
I defined CTRL+SHIFT+A for the \begin{align} environment and removed the shortcut for \textsf{} as it also has assinged CTRL+ALT+A (see Options -> Configure Texmaker -> Shortcuts). However, I cannot make it work. Restarting Texmaker did not help.
Thanks for input!

Installed Ubuntu 12.04 64bit today, switched to Gnome Classic (no effects) and there is one thing that makes me crazy: I can't assign Super+L to Lock Screen function!
I go to System Settings -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> System, then I click on Lock Screen and press "Super + L", it appears in the list but when I press it again it doesn't work.
If I set it back to Ctrl+Alt+L it works again.
Hi,
It seems many shortcuts does not work even though I set them in Control Panel -> Keyboard Shortcuts.
For example, I have tried shortcuts for Toggle Window Maximized vertically as Ctrl + Alt + Up and Mod4 + Up and Alt + F3, but nether worked.
I'm on Ubuntu 12.10, and I am having trouble with the Ctrl + Alt + KP_PLUS, and Ctrl + Alt + KP_MINUS buttons. Whenever I press that combination it changes my resolution and it really interrupts my work flow.
Is there any reason why the keyboard shortcuts listed in the system settings don't work? For example, the system settings lists Ctrl-Alt-T to get up a terminal window, but it doesn't work. And none of the others seem to either.
Cheers
Peter
If you use a specific software very regularly - it is important to become proficient with it and by learning the software's keyboard shortcuts - you can do just that. You can easily use your smartphone as reference of these shortcuts and be updated if new shortcuts are available.
In Short: you can get more work done - spending less time.
e.g.
I have Ctrl+Alt+T assigned as my keyboard shortcut to launch a Terminal window, but it stopped working after upgrading to 12.10.
I have verified that it is still set in the Keyboard Shortcuts settings menu, and have verified that other shortcuts (e.g.
I'm using the XfApplet for integrating the mintMenu into my Mint Xfce installation.
As shortcut I defined Super_L which works fine.
Additionally I want to define a shortcut <Super_L>r to execute gnome-terminal.
Unfortunately the Super_L keystroke gets interpreted and consumed early so that the mintMenu appears and types r into the search field.
I am using Kubuntu Linux 12.04 on a Macbook Pro, and I am seeking the ability to use the Command/Meta key for common shortcuts such as copy, paste, and select all.
Attempted solutions:
Remap Copy, Paste, Select All, and others in KDE's System Settings > Shortcuts and Gestures > Standard Keyboard Shortcuts
Problem: These shortcuts appear to be ignored by most applications.
