Everything will totally be done in the terminal with the help of imagemagick. I use one of my favorite images, the pic of Linus Torvalds raising his middle finger, as the example. I use imagemagick to add a watermark to my photos. The command line is the following:

composite -tile -gravity center watermark.png somefile.jpg somefile.jpg

But the watermark isn’t centered vertically. It looks like this:

I’d like it to start from the center. How can I do it?

You may sometimes want to add a watermark to your documents to claim your authority. There are, of course, many different ways to do the trick but in today's article, I will show you how to do it using two popular open source applications, GIMP and LibreOffice Writer. Both applications are pre-installed in Linux Mint 13.

Step 1 : Create a watermark image using GIMP

 Open an A4 template.

A friend of mine who is a nature photographer by hobby is willing to participate in Ubuntu wallpaper contest. He had submitted his entry to the stream. However, the photo contains his watermark in it. He can re-upload the image without watermark if it is selected. Can this be a issue in selection? Does he needs to re-submit the photo without watermark?

So I was trying to watermark some jpg photos using Phatch and I always get the error "cannot identify image"

i have mp4 videos and png files.

Need to watermark videos h.264 with png files from CLI. What tool can i use?

I had many troubles with ffmpeg, can't install libavfilter and libx264.

I've installed the latest catalyst driver (beta) following the step in this guide for Ubuntu Quantal Quetzal. My system is 64 bit and my graphic card is an ATI RadeonHD 6670, this g.c. is Officially Supported (Catalyst & Open Source), you can confirm that from this AMD Linux Community thread.

I don't have any problem, except the AMD testing use only watermark.

Anyone been successful in removing the Accuweather watermark in the Windmill and Ocean Live wallpapers for our Notes?

I tried the instructions posted on the SII forums but it doesnt seem to work for GNote. Couldnt find the respective files to delete with root explorer and when i try to just transfer the APKs it just crashes.

Is anyone else having the same problem that I am? I have compositing working, and everything seems to be fine, but I cannot launch Catalyst Control Center (some sort of parsing error in the X.org file) and I have a watermark in the bottom right hand corner of my screen that is the AMD logo and the message "Unsupported Hardware." My card is the HIS 5770.
