http://www.mobileread.com – Hi, I have an older version of kindle. I've found it useful to transfer files from my PC to the Kindle using the USB port. I'd like to be able to do the same on my new Samsung Galaxy Tab (icecream sandwich) 8GB. I'm a writer so I often convert my work-in-progress to kindle compatible file using Calibre. That is readable. But if I download books from Amazon and try to do the same, I get the message: "Invalid Item Please remove the item from your device and go to Archived items to download it again." Is this a file format issue mobi vs. prc vs. azw (no clue about the di (HowTos)

I use Calibre to manage my mobi books and wirelessly send them down to my Galaxy Tab when I want them there. This has worked very well for me for months. Then 2 weeks ago, I updated the Kindle App for Android and now Kindle locks up when I try to access a book I have sent from Calibre. The books I buy straight from Amazon always show up (of course). Anyone else having this issue?

I have recently flashed twa_priv's CM10 ROM (20120824-2036-Linaro) on my kindle fire and I'm super impressed with the speed and functionality. I do however have a problem with the Kindle book app corrupting books after what seems like a 24hr period. I am able to open the app, register the device, download books and read them without problems.

Hello. I am using a Samsung Galaxy tab2 with the pre-installed Kindle app. After I convert the book from epub to mobi and send to device, where does it go? It isn't showing up in the Kindle library when I launch the app. However, when I look at the Kindle folder on the tablet (via my pc) it shows the book with "epub". Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Android Kindle App & Kindle for PC - Remove from Archive (book already "deleted" in Amazon account I know how to go to the Manage my Kindle page in Amazon and remove unwanted books. It works fine But have 7 or 8 books still showing in the Archived screen on my Kindle App on my Nexus 7

I have downloaded .mobi books from another device. I want to put them on my kindle but how? I am a former IPAD user and it was easy to put PDF/MOBI files on my kindle through itunes. Thanks in advance.

My problem is that I am unable to mount my Kindle Fire in order to add books to it.

Can anyone point me to a recipe for how to upload a book to my android device? I'm formatting my own stuff with html and then converting it with Calibre.

I'm using Calibre 0.8.61. The Kindle app version is 3.6.0.87. I don't know what file format to use (epub doesn't seem to work) or where to put the file (/sdcard/kindle doesn't seem to work).

I am enjoying the SGP5! Audiobooks are GREAT with MORT Player and I am starting to use Moon+ Pro reader. I will load up my 32GB mSD card with lots of books.

I thought that perhaps the best way is to just organize them into Genres/Author folders on my removable mSD card under "ebooks". Then open the file with whatever player (Kindle for mobi, Moon+ for epub). Is this a good idea?
