USB /dev/sdb renamed /dev/sdc after suspend

view story

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Running Fedora 11, Thinkpad W700, I have an external usb hard drive (detected as /dev/sdb) that works great. However, resuming from suspend renames the device to /dev/sdc). This causes errors such as: kernel: EXT3-fs error (device sdb1): ext3_get_inode_loc: unable to read inode block - inode=1671472, block=6684692 I can fix this by disconnecting the usb drive momentarily then reconnecting which finds /dev/sdb again. Further to this, I've tested a similar setup with Fedora fully installed on the external USB drive. Resuming from suspend in that configuration (as you might guess) renders my laptop unusable. I suspect it's the same issue. Thanks for any help, -Nikola (HowTos)
