http://crunchbanglinux.org – I brought a LB-LINK 802.11 b/g/n 300 Mbps wireless USB adapter.  This card does not fit into the USB ofmy laptop or desktop.  It goes in about 4/5 of the way, and then, stop.  The merchant mailed me a 2ndUSB wireless card because he thoughted the 1st card was defective - same problem w/ 2nd card.[Personally, I don't think either card is defective.  Compatibility problem???]Is the problem because the USB connection differs or what?  Do I need an adapter?I have Intel USB controllers on my dinosaur desktop and eee laptop.http://shengchieh.50webs.com/Desktoplspci.txth (HowTos)

My work notebook has an intel wifi adapter and currently lets me use wifi channels 1-11

I have a separate thread open regarding battery life, but I have this other off-topic question. My laptop has an ATI and intel card and I'd like to know how I can determine which graphics card is currently in use.

I'm on an HP Pavillion dv4-1125nr with a Broadcom BCM 4312 network card.

I only have Ubuntu 10.04 installed on this computer.

Okay so I am getting a new video card tommorrow but the one I want isn't at Fry's and my mom wants to go buy it at a store rather than online. So I was wondering if there is a good video card to support desktop effects.

I have install 64bit version of Fedora 12 on a new Dell Inspiron 1545 with a Dell 1397 wireless card. It actually uses a Broadcom BCM4312 chip.

I have install the following rpms:

I'm trying to connect to my wireless connection using my D-Link DWA-125 (N 150) Wireless USB Adapter. So far I was able to download, compile and install the driver provided by RALINK.

A couple of weeks ago, I installed kubuntu 10.10 on my laptop and my wireless card has not worked ever since. It was fine under 10.04.

My wireless card in my Acer Aspire 7551G shows wireless networks in range but wont connect to any of them. I am running an Atheros AR928x Wireless network card (windows reports it as a AR5b93). Also as a side note, whenever i turn on my computer, my wireless is disabled.

I am having issues trying to turn on my wireless card.
