Hello everybody, how are you?
Yesterday I have installed fedora 17 on my computer. everything worked great.
I bought today a PCI soundcard and installed Realtek sound drivers.
Unfortunately - I installed it with a root privileges.
Since then - I can't use sound. I'm not able to use any of soundcard.
Hello,
I've recently installed 12.04 x86 on my Samsung R720 however the sound I'm hearing is "tinny" and flat - this problem isn't usual as when I first boot up a new install of Windows I have this problem so I have to install the Realtek HD drivers however I'm experiencing problems achieving this.
I've downloaded the drivers v3.0 Linux from the Realtek website (5.17rc1) and export
My problem is, my sound card isn't detected. It's hard to enjoy a music or a movie without sound. I have a RealTek AC'97 sound card in my machine. I can't get the system to detect my sound card.
hey guys
there is a new problem for me in linux....
i have installed opensuse 11.2, and i downloaded the latest driver of realtek audio from realtek site..
(reason sound wasnt working)
error==
ALSA lib confmisc.c : 392 : (snd_func_concat) error evaluating strings
Alright, so I've got this sound, right? And it's not working. I know, I know. Common problem with linux noobs, RTFM and google it and all that. The thing is I've tried to just hit up alsa to gimme sound, that didn't work. When I try to run music on console it complains about driver problems and of course drivers were installed and did nothing.It's an IBM Thinkpad T22.
im unable to record sound using this app. the check box is checked for the sound, it just doesnt record sound. idk what to do.
i have ubuntu 12.04 64bit.
plus nvidia drivers dont work what so ever. so im just using the default ubuntu drivers.
i looked up the site for this app.
I am new to linux and having problems with Wifi. It does work, but it's very slow and shaky (drops connection). All the other machines (few Windows, Xbox, Samsung smart-tv etc) work just fine.
I have searched these forums and it seems that many people are having problems with default drivers. Realtek provides linux drivers, but I am not sure how to install them.
Hi
I'm new at linux so forgive my newbyness :(
Everything was working fine with default settings, but I ran the "AC'97 audiopack driver" from realtek to see if I would get the equalizer they put in their windows drivers (my 2.1 speakers sound horrid without one)
Long story short, now I have no audio
Yast->Sound->Start
I installed 11.10 ubuntu on clean install (I had 10.04 earlier but I wanted the newer version) last night and updated it. But now my ubuntu has no sound. I tried to go to sound settings to check sound output devices, but there is not any devices.
For my computer, I am running Ubuntu 11.10 along side with Windows Vista. Ubuntu is 64-bit version.
